Art auction

at Contemporary Art Space, Atelier Plus, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, December 2024;

We warmly invite you on the evening of 3 December at 6.00 pm to an artistic event aimed at raising funds for the refurbishment of the Atelier Plus Cultural Centre.

Through art, we hope to fulfil our mission in this space to promote Beauty, Truth and Light.

One of the highlights of the evening will be an auction of artworks – including paintings, sculptures, ceramics and photographs – with starting bids set at half the usual retail price. The auction will be hosted by the actor Bob Rădulescu.

In addition to the auction, there will be a variety of ways in which you can support the cause of establishing the Atelier Plus Cultural Centre.

We invite you to join us as a partner in this new chapter, which extends beyond the boundaries of the Atelier Plus group and seeks open-minded people who share our vision and passion for Cluj.

Who is Atelier Plus?

Atelier Plus is a group of professional artists based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. They are dedicated to promoting visual arts and Romanian Christian cultural values.

With almost 30 years of experience in organising exhibitions, workshops and creative camps, Atelier Plus provides spaces where art brings together beauty, faith, culture and community.

Through its work, the association supports artists in developing their talent and invites the public to discover art as a meaningful language of values and inner transformation.

Atelier Plus is a cultural phenomenon within the world of visual art. As a group of creatives, they are not mere observers or recorders of the seen and experienced world. Each of these artists and sculptors has a unique connection to the interior pathways of lived life and the human soul, both seen and unseen. They help to increase our curiosity and encourage us to explore with a pure vision, seeing with the eye and feeling with the heart. As artists, Atelier Plus help us to focus on relevant visual beauty and away from the ever-increasing world of mass distraction that surrounds us. They encourage us to see with the soul of the eye. My recent personal interaction with Atelier Plus has been both edifying and challenging. I found myself mesmerised by their shared vision, dedication and motivation, as well as the high quality of their visual expertise. This creates a powerful group dynamic across a wide age range and differing visual styles. In today's world of shallow, fragmented self, we need more of these creative visual pilgrims to help us find truth, beauty and a narrative of hope.
